weekly photo challenge: nighttime

Posted on

Seeing as we are still on the Camino, here is another photo from our collection.

When leaving for a day of 20+ km of walking, the sun is rarely up. This is our nighttime photo from Santo Domingo de la Calzada for the Weekly Photo Challenge.

Yes – definitely spooky! πŸ™‚ It wasn’t spooky when we walked down it! But it looks spooky when we looked back at the photo.

Stunning and warm… like a street I’d enjoy walking down at night.

Maybe during summer – because it was a chilly morning that day πŸ™‚ There are plenty of these lovely streets for us to walk through on this Camino! Thanks for your comment!

Slippery? ha, ha, ha…I am so clumsy and could see myself taking a fall on this street. Maybe you guys too after all those km!

Diana – you make us laugh!! πŸ™‚ If you think you would slip on that, you don’t even want to try some of the steep rocky descents we’ve had to negotiate! LOL!

Yes… eerie and lonely are two great words to describe it!! It’s the yellow lighting that creates that feel, right? πŸ™‚

That laneway looks scary…but it’s so tempting to walk down there as there might be a pot of gold at the end πŸ˜€ Travel safe, Wise Monkeys. A day of 20km plus walking is a big feat. Keep going!

Thanks Mabel πŸ™‚ Every day at the moment we are hitting at least 25 km … but it seems to be getting easier.

PS – there was NO pot of gold at the end of that lane way πŸ˜‰ – if there was, we didn’t find it!

I think that depending upon your point of view, it might looks scary or it might look peaceful.

Yes – it was peaceful and definitely not scary… but the lights do give a little bit of a sinister ambience πŸ™‚

Thank you Jane! Yes – we don’t felt unsafe walking but when we look at that photo, we think “How did we brave that?” hehehe
