weekly photo challenge: descent

Posted on

Sorting through our photos, we realise we take more photos going up then down. But we managed to locate one of a descent from our trip to New York a few years back for the weekly photo challenge.

Β Snapped just before we descend some stairs in New York City Public Library. Photograph in black and white for a Halloween mood πŸ™‚

Wishing you all a fantastic weekend!

I do too, but I found Santorini to have excellent descent shot opportunities because you are normally looking down stairs toward the sea. You simply have to go there, if you haven’t been. πŸ™‚ –Curt

Very good point πŸ™‚ We have been to Santorini and didn’t even think of it that way! You are making us want to revisit some of our photos from that trip now.

It is, huh? Amazing how taking away a bit of colour adds such a different atmosphere!

A perfect image for Halloween weekend! I love the contrast of the light above the bust and the different shades of the two rails. Thanks for sharing!

Imagine… the descent with candle in hand… flickering from the drafty staircase…

So true, your comment about up vs down. I think your choice of B&W for this is spot on.
