acknowledging awesome blogs: an award or a chain letter?
This is all relatively foreign to us as we are still learning the ropes about the blogging community and twitter. So it’s very exciting to be nominated for “The Versatile Blogger Award”. A big thank you to our extremely friendly nominator: Turquoise Compass.
We confess that we did trawl through a few websites on Google to understand what this was all about and discovered that this is a “chain letter” type award. However, in the spirit of “winning” this award, we shall make sure we stick to the rules. We have also read that we need to display this image:
We can completely understand if the blogs that we nominate choose to not keep this going… but this is our way of saying that we think you have an awesome travel blog!

7 THINGS TO SHARE ABOUT US
- We each have two siblings that are older than us, making us the “babies” of our families.
- He is a Virgo and She is a Scorpio.
- We are very interested in astronomy.
- We love mangoes, chips (hot chips, crisps etc) and kurtosh (Hungarian pastry/sweet bread).
- We prefer to be on land than in water.
- On countless occasions, we have mentally re-arranged our apartment so we can fit a table tennis inside our living room.
- We currently have over 100 books on our bookshelves that we have not read yet.

I’m very new myself. Just two weeks coming to three (Yikes!) and everyone has been so nice.
I felt so proud of myself when well established bloggers who I call “star” bloggers, made the effort to respond to something I wrote on their blog.
It can be a little daunting with all the little technical things and I’m trying to mix well-known bloggers with little-known bloggers like myself and a variety of subject matters. At least I’m trying to LOL!

Hi there – thanks so much for including our blog “Peanuts or Pretzels” on this list! We recently received the “Very Inspiring Blog Award” and it was much the same. While we learned it too is a bit of a “chain letter,” we greatly appreciate people thinking highly enough to include us. Not a bad thing by any means. 🙂

Yup we had a similar experience on our site with the Liebster Award, however it’s one of the highest ranking pages on our site so either it’s a good thing or I write pretty boring stuff that no one wants to read.

I felt the same way as you when I received this “award”. But like you, I chose to share the awesome blogs I like with others. (I am so new at this, it can all be overwhelming at times to know what to do/not do).
