weekly photo challenge: spring

Posted on Updated on

Winter is well on it’s way here in Australia so instead of sharing a photo of the season of Spring. We are taking a different slant on the Daily Post theme.

We are sharing a photo of a geothermal spring from Yellowstone National Park. This photo conjures up the sense of warmth for usΒ as winter is coming πŸ™‚

Yep, winter is coming!!! Assuming your 40 plus is in Celsius?? That is a tad warm for us!
The geothermal spring, from memory, may be a little (or actually a lot) too hot to take a dip in! πŸ˜‰

And we could do with some geothermal warmth today. Even here in Queensland it’s very chilly.

Even in QLD? How can that be? πŸ˜‰
Cold snap hitting all of Australia?! Winter is really here!

You’d better believe it! That frigid wind off the Victorian Alps is blowing right up into QLD. According to the weather app on my phone the temp right now is 12 degrees, with a wind chill factor of 4.7. Gaaah. Hideous!

I keep telling our Victorian relatives not to share their ghastly weather, but they don’t listen.

LOL! No wonder we were freezing today! We were around 11-12!! Crazy cold!

Thanks for such a lovely and encouraging comment Jane πŸ™‚
We absolutely love Yellowstone! We have to go back, we didn’t see as much of it as we would’ve liked. Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Yellowstone is a wonderful and wonder-filled place. We went last summer again and loved it all over. I’m still having trouble on the page–can’t get a comment to post (or if it does, I don’t know, as I can’t get to the newer comments) and I get broken links everywhere. I had to access it through someone else’s link.
