weekly photo challenge: containers

Posted on

If you are following us on Instagram, you may have already seen the photo we are using for the Weekly Photo Challenge this week.

Having just spent a week in Russia, nothing says “containers” at the moment to us more than the famous babushka (matryoshka) dolls. Especially when ONE can contain so many smaller dolls.

I LOVE these things! I was so excited when some nice family friend brought me some from Russia. They are endlessly entertaining (for a child…maybe now, too).

They are so fun and so cute! We have a set from a family member who went to Russia a few years back. So fortunately we didn’t have to buy one and cart it around with us on this trip BUT it still didn’t stop us from looking at them every time we passed a souvenir shop – LOL!

Babushka doll! Perfect for this week’s challenge. The smaller dolls always annoy me. They can be tiny, and even my small hands find it hard to pick them up and arrange them nicely as they should be πŸ˜€

Some of the small ones are so tiny!! They are the size of a fingernail. It’s crazy how they can be painted with all the little features as a big dolls… (well maybe not ALL the features) πŸ˜‰
