walking the camino: photo essay (part 2 of 3)
Ok, so we have just completed another 12 days of walking and have under 280 km (of 790km or so) left to go! We are stoked to have been able to achieve this 🙂
Here are our photos snapped between Belorado and Astorga which means we are in our final 12 days of walking now!
Hope you enjoy the Camino from our eyes.

well photo essays rock! and there are so many tasty images it is really hard to even comment on some – and not that bloggers need to do this – but sometimes we just want to give feedback – and so just have two tidbits real quick – about this particular one –
first – that opening shot of the log – oh my goshhhhhh = the texture – the angle the focus – it immediately pulled me in – and I also like the orange in that image – which I then noticed when I came back again – well I noticed that you have a bit of an orange theme going on in this post – when you scroll – the orange seems to be the coordinating color – and not sure if you planned this – but well done.
oh and one more little thing – the three in a row of verticals – the grass, the tree and the dandelion – well those three break up the post and were just cool right in a row – peace 🙂
November 10, 2014 at 10:23 pm
That is soooo funny you mention the orange colour throughout the essay because it was not intentional and it was only yesterday, we were looking through our photos that we thought.. all these photos have so much orange and warmth to them 🙂
Thanks so much for the feedback – we love reading it!
November 11, 2014 at 3:16 pm

October 5, 2014 at 8:38 pm
I would love to walk “The Way”. It’s on my list of things I’ll probably never do because I’m not fit enough, but we all have to dream.
October 6, 2014 at 2:47 am
Well, you just never know. You can always do part of it or you can do it your way. There are so many people doing it for whatever reasons with varying fitness levels. Some people walk parts and catch buses for other parts. Some people don’t carry their big packs (like us) and just carry smaller day packs which makes it manageable. The Camino should be done your way… Don’t rule it out. There are many options available for everyone to experience it. 🙂
October 5, 2014 at 3:55 pm
You’ve definitely had time to see the country you’re walking through!
That snail is so beautiful. What is the story behind the rubber ducks, and are those stork (or another bird) nests in the bell tower?
October 5, 2014 at 3:57 pm
Hi Yvonne 🙂 Well the rubber ducks were part of a duck race down the river for one of the fiestas in Burgos that we happened to stumble upon! It was rather entertaining!
And the storks nest are everywhere….. seems like they have left for the winter though and won’t be back now til next year.
October 5, 2014 at 3:48 pm
ever since I read, the pilgrimage, its my dream to walk this path, or any one of it!
October 5, 2014 at 3:52 pm
Interesting! You are talking about Paulo Coelho’s book right? That is the book David read that also contributed to us wanting to do it 🙂 It is a really rewarding and fulfilling experience!
October 5, 2014 at 3:54 pm
YES, the same book!! I am sure it must be a rewarding experience

Reblogged this on "Sees" the Day and commented:
Thought we would link our photos from the Camino thus far so there was a visual representation of our journey and not just our words 🙂
