Photo Challenges
weekly photo challenge: between
Sharing this photo for the challenge: driving “between” the trees on Kangaroo Island, Australia.
weekly photo challenge: extra, extra
The Daily Post challenge was to “share a photo that has a little something extra.” Michelle said: “A beautiful photo is one thing, but a photo with an unexpected detail has personality and pop” and she suggested possibly sharing something with a humorous element.
We tend to not post photos of ourselves on our blog but we just had to share this photo of us on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh back in 2006 with a “cheeky photo bomb” (pun intended) that we never noticed until we were revisiting our travel photos recently.
Hope this is not in poor taste… and you find it as funny as we did! Certainly, a little extra on the side in this photo! 😉 (Thank goodness for photoshop)
weekly photo challenge: room
A ryokan is a traditional Japanese inn. On first entry into the room – there is no bed. While guests are out of an evening, the house keeping will sneak in and prepare the futon on the tatami mat flooring.
This was our room in a ryokan in Hakone, Japan. Surprisingly, it was a very comfortable sleep we had!
Have you stayed in a ryokan? What was your opinion of it?
weekly photo challenge: split-second story
Markets present many opportunities to snap a photo that tells a split-second story.
For the weekly photo challenge, we are sharing a photo we took while in Hoi An back in 2012.
